Updating your address on your Aadhaar card yourself is now very easy and you can do it from the comfort of your home. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has provided an online facility through which you can change the address on your Aadhaar card without going anywhere. For this, the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar card must be active, as OTP (one-time password) is required for login and verification. This process is completely online and takes only a few minutes to do. For this, you just need to keep the correct address and a valid address proof ready.
How to update address in Aadhaar:
Step 1: First of all go to the official website of UIDAI.
Step 2 : Click on “Update Demographics Data & Check Status” option in the “My Aadhaar” section.
Step 3 : By clicking here you will reach the official website https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/ย
Step 4 : Now enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number and captcha.
Step 5 : Click on “Send OTP”. This OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter it and login.
Step 6 : After login a new page will open, click on “Address Update” option.
Step 7 : A new page will open, click on “Update Aadhaar Online” option.
Step 8 : Click on “Proceed to Update Aadhaar”.
Step 9 : Enter the new address in English and your regional language (eg. Hindi). (Make sure the address is correct and without any mistakes.)
Step 10 :Upload Address Proof: (You need to upload a document to prove your address.)

Water bill
Bank statement
Rent agreement
Passport etc.
Scan the document and upload it in PDF or JPG format.
Step 11: A fee of โน50 has to be paid for the update. You can make this payment through UPI, debit card, credit card or net banking.
Step 12: After the payment is successful, you will get an Acknowledgment Slip. It will contain an Update Request Number (URN), which you can use to know the status of your application.
Step 13: To know the status of the update, go to the UIDAI portal and click on the “Check Aadhaar Update Status” option. Enter your URN here.
Step 14: After successful update, you can download the new e-Aadhaar card from the UIDAI website.
